Action Medical Research
Action Medical Research was awarded £7,500 in November 2022. The funding continues to support research into cerebral palsy. This funding is enabling actional medial research to study whether RaceRunning – a sport specifically designed for vulnerable individuals with cerebral palsy – reduces the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes and improves mobility in young people with moderate to severe cerebral palsy.
The James and Grace Anderson Trust have previously funded the organisation to carry out research into food deformity in children with cerebral palsy and to develop a UK computerised assessment of language understanding for children with cerebral palsy and other severe movement disorders: the UK C-BILLT.
