Beverley King

Beverley King was the recipient of a grant in 2023. Her grant contributed towards the purchase of her Petra Frame Running Bike.

The new bicycle allowed Beverley to make use of the cycle path and to join her local cycling club. Her leg and core strength have noticeably increased, and physiotherapists have all positively commented on Beverley’s progress, who has now lost more than 3 stones to date.

The bike has had a significant effect on Beverley’s physical and mental health.  She decided to name her Cherry -short for Cherriots of Fire. The new bike helped Beverley win a gold and a silver medal for Sports, her first in 52 years.
