Cauldwell Children
Cauldwell Children received £750 from the James and Grace Anderson Trust in 2023.
The grant allowed the charity to purchase a therapy tricycle and sensory equipment for children aged 4 to 11 years old who have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
The Therapy Tricycle has allowed one family to live a healthier life by having easy access to the outdoors with a piece of equipment that provides fun and fitness and promoting the physical health of a disabled child. Eight individuals have benefited from the Therapy Tricycle.
Families have a very positive response to the Therapy Tricycle. The following quote from Daniel’s mum reveals just how much of an improvement this equipment can make in a child’s life:
““Just to say a big thank you for Daniels trike. This has made such a big difference to him. It has helped build his confidence and helps strengthen his legs”.”
Cauldwell Children has also helped an additional two families whose child struggled to process everyday information and were in need of sensory equipment. Caudwell Children offer a range of sensory equipment such as Get Sensory 0-3 years, Get Sensory 4-18 and Autism Sensory. The sensory packs consist of portable items including massagers, weighted cushions, LED light variety and more. The packs also included postcards where families could fill in and send back to the charity.
The packs had a beneficial impact for all the families by giving providing a positive atmosphere in the household. The packs allowed children to engage with others in the household and in their local community.
The James and Grace Anderson Trust grant has gone on to benefit at least eight individuals throughout the UK.
““We are so grateful for your continual support to help local families regain independence, tackle isolation and take away the financial burden of specialised equipment for families.””
